This Canadian cutie has found success simply being herself, proving that you don't need a glossy production to flourish in the Model Program. We're talking to Nadia about how she got her start, her advice for new Models, and the secrets to her success - spoiler alert: unabashed authenticity will charm viewers in no time!
Tell us about yourself! How did you get your start in the industry?
I’d love to! My name is Nadia Foxx but Nadia is what most call me. I actually started in the industry back in 2015! I was getting tired of bartending/serving and being run off my feet all day, so I wanted an opportunity to do something from home while gaining some financial independence. A friend of mine suggested camming and I was immediately intrigued. I’ve always been fairly open sexually and I thought it could be a great way to merge my personal life and work life together! So I took the plunge and bought a cheap webcam. That night, I was so nervous signing on but I made the money back I paid for the webcam and I was hooked! It took a lot of time for me to break out of my shell, I was pretty shy haha. However once I found a cam site I actually enjoyed working on, streaming got much easier and was more fun as well. I started making videos to sell after some requests from regulars and realized the best way to drive more traffic to myself was to give people a taste of who I really am. So I uploaded a few of my videos onto Pornhub and got a ton of support! It’s always nerve-wracking comparing yourself to others, and with no experience filming or editing I was always worried I’d never be able to show off my own visions. But sometimes you have to trust yourself and just go for it! I still do all of my own filming and editing and I’m very proud of the independent part of my work in that sense.
Your channel really gives off a sense of authenticity. Is Nadia Foxx a character you play or are you one in the same?
That first night I started camming, I had a whole plan before I signed on that I’d act as a sexy mysterious girl with an accent and everything. I think I thought it would help me be more confident? Haha who knows. About 3 minutes into actually signing on I was so nervous I forgot about that whole plan and just ended up being myself anyway! Obviously it was much better that way, and I decided in that moment that being someone else was never going to get me very far. In keeping with that, still to this day I never script my videos. Granted, I never know how something is going to turn out until after I press that record button, and occasionally I’ll have videos that don’t work out. But 99% of the time I’m able to find a flow so much easier, and the authenticity of the videos show through, which most people really appreciate! I definitely tend to overthink at times, and going into recording without a plan is sometimes the best way for me to reach that creative improvisation that ends up turning into a great video. Especially the drive through ones haha!
Your profile has ranked in the top 100 on PH for over a year, what do you attribute your success to? What separates your content from the rest?
I’m very grateful that I’ve been able to get the views I have and the support that follows it! I’d love to say it was all planned but it definitely wasn’t. I think though my success mainly revolves around pushing the boundaries with unique content that people can attribute to just me. Carving out a niche that sets you apart from the rest can be a gamechanger in making people come back for more!
What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about the industry you wish you could change?
I wish I could change the misconceptions behind using this industry as a “last resort” option for oneself. It may be unfortunately like that for some, but it’s not the same for everyone. Doing porn and camming was never a last resort for me, in fact it was an exciting and conscious decision! I weighed the pros and cons and went for it and have no regrets. Assuming that everyone who does porn was forced into doing it can feel like you’re undervaluing people’s abilities to make decisions for themselves.
How has your perception of the industry changed since joining?
I would say that my perception of the work behind the scenes is the one thing that’s changed the most. Most will never understand the levels of dedication and time that goes into studio and/or amateur work! It truly is hard work at times, but thankfully the work is equally as rewarding.
When you’re not working, what can we find you up to?
I’m currently obsessing over House of the Dragon and Rings of Power. I’m a huge fantasy nerd, so anytime I can fall into a TV or book series it’s definitely hard to drag me out!
What’s the best way to leverage social media and gain a loyal following?
Consistency is KEY. I must admit I’m nowhere near as consistent as I should be on my social platforms at times, but I’ve been able to gain a loyal following by being consistent where it counts. For example, I haven’t missed a day of posting on my OF in over 3 years now. I believe people truly do recognize that effort, and if you’re patient and persistent, you will see people forming that bond with you that keeps them coming back!
What porn cliché is so overrated or annoying? What porn cliché is actually true?
As someone who’s 6 feet tall, I’m forever disappointed by the fact that I’ll never be able to properly enjoy car sex without cramping one part of my body or another lol. I wouldn’t say it’s overrated or annoying though haha, I’m just jealous! As for the true ones… I’ve personally always been a huge fan of facials myself. It’s not just for the boys!
What is next for Nadia Foxx? Have you considered doing studio work?
I’m going to continue to build my Foxx empire of course! I have a constantly growing list of fun videos to make and I definitely want to continue working with other creators in an amateur setting.
How do you plan what kind of content you want to shoot and when?
I would say if I’m not completely ad-libbing for the day, I will take into consideration what people have been asking me for, and then go in that direction to make new content! I always love reading comments and if people are liking something, I’m going to continue trying to give them that something until they get sick of it haha. Thankfully I do this full-time, I don’t have kids or many other big commitments, so I’m free to be creative with my videos and allow myself to create based on what I’m feeling that day for the most part. Shooting content with other people is the one thing I do need lots of time to plan for though! It’s always good to have a plan of what you want to do with someone beforehand so everyone can be confident and on-board.
What are 3 points of advice you’d like to give to new Models or those thinking of joining the industry?
- Just because people are asking for something, it doesn’t mean you have to do it. Only do what you enjoy and are comfortable with! Those who truly support you will never want to make you unhappy.
- Always have an extra bottle of lube on hand.
- Hit record! You can always edit out bad footage, but you can’t make videos out of nothing. When in doubt, take a few minutes and get inspired by what you actually enjoy watching as well!
What has been your favorite part or experience since starting this journey? Have you learnt anything about yourself in the process?
I’ll always be grateful that I can make money off orgasms haha. But my favourite part has been meeting the amazing creators and fans along the way! I’ve made lifelong friends that are some of the most accepting, judgement-free people you could ever meet. As for myself, I’ve learned how much fun life can be just by taking one small step outside my comfort zone. Taking my clothes off gave me more confidence than I ever had by keeping them on! <3
