You have joined our Model Program, verified your account, and uploaded videos – great job! But how do you get the most out of your Model Account and improve your rank? Well, look no further, because we have compiled our Top 10 Tips to help you be successful! Keep reading to get the inside scoop on your next steps.
Tip #1: Upload consistently
This is a big one. Uploading new videos regularly will keep your fans coming back for more. We suggest uploading at least one new video every week.
We recommend posting longer videos (10 minutes or more) at least twice per month. Longer videos tend to yield higher engagement from fans and a better user experience, especially when there is a climax.
It also increases the chances of getting your video featured on our homepage, which can maximize your exposure and views!
You can also post short video clips (trailers) of your full-length features to tease viewers and leverage those clips to promote your content for sale on other sites by adding watermarks. We recommend uploading shorter videos at least four times per month to maintain views and help boost your rank.
The Scheduling Tool is a great way to ensure you get your videos up in a timely manner. All you have to do is upload your video and schedule the date and time you want your video to go live!
Be sure to upload one video every 6 months to keep your account monetized.
Tip #2: Upload engaging content
Like watching your favorite TV shows or movies, good porn requires good storylines. Engaging content should be entertaining. Put effort into crafting a fun or creative plot to give viewers a reason to keep watching your video.
Plan how you want to shoot your scene. Viewers like to see different angles and different lighting. Include multiple angles in every scene to help keep your audience engaged and do not linger on one angle too long.
Finally, porn is not only about visuals. A great way to captivate the attention of your audience is by using descriptive audio.
Tip #3: High quality AV (audio/video) content
Use good lighting and sound equipment. Also consider using multiple cameras for additional angles and be sure to edit your videos in an engaging format for your audience. For the best quality, use 1080p video resolution, a frame rate of 30-60 FPS, and a bitrate of 8000 kb/s.
Tip #4: Be creative and open to new ideas
How would you describe your style and content to someone who has never watched your videos? Maybe there is something that sets you apart from other content creators? Use that to your benefit!
- Consider collaborating with other verified Models. Fans love seeing their favorite Performers in the same scene. Make sure to add their stage name to your video titles too!
- Create engaging scripts and storylines. Who doesn’t love a good bedtime story? Create a part 2 of your most successful videos and maybe keep the series going if it continues to perform well!
- Translate your video titles! You can manually add title translations by clicking the edit button next to your uploaded video(s) from the Video Manager Dashboard, as seen here:
- Have fun and be authentic! If you love what you do, your fans are more likely to feel a connection with you and your content. You can also get inspired by other popular videos on Pornhub; see what others are doing and what viewers are gravitating towards.
Tip #5: Attractive video thumbnails
Thumbnails are the equivalent of a book cover or DVD cover. You want to draw your viewers in with a clear and sexy action shot. This image should be a moment that appears in your video (no clickbait). For example, if your thumbnail shows a blowjob, there must be a blowjob scene in the video!
Tip #6: Optimize meta data
Your video titles, tags, and categories are key for viewers to discover your content. Viewers are going to search for these terms which will lead them to your videos. Be sure to add names of Models who are featured in the video title.
A few more things to consider:
- Use descriptive and accurate metadata (categories and tags) that reflect moments in your videos.
- Titles need to be relevant to the content, so do not say orgy if you are taking a sexy shower by yourself.
- Title and tag your videos with today’s hottest trends by utilizing top searched terms, not using tags thrown together in place of a real title (what is a “creampie orgy deepthroat anal threesome”!?). Check out Tip #7 for popular tags used for meta data!

Tip #8: Update your Model profile once every 3 months
Think of your Model Account as your Wiki landing page for adult content. Treat your Model Bio like you would a dating profile. Add your interests, hobbies, and a bit about your content so your audience can get to know you better.
- Avoid using symbols such as underscores in your stage name. This makes it harder to get discovered because users typically do not include symbols when they type words into the search bar.
- Update your social and official links so your fans can find and follow you. Do not include the “@” symbol before your username because it breaks the link.
- Upload clear profile and banner photos that are not blurry or pixelated. Consider wearing Pornhub merch in your profile picture! If you do not have any yet, you can win some through our Model Achievement Awards. Check to see if you are close to a milestone! You can also visit our Apparel store.
- Make sure your profile picture does not block any important info on your banner like paid site links.
Tip #9: Leverage your social media platforms
Just as you can gain followers by having Pornhub fans clicking on your social links, you can increase your Pornhub subscribers by promoting your Pornhub presence on socials. Be careful to follow terms of service and community guidelines.
Also consider using incentives for your fans to subscribe to your Model Account, for example: “I will upload a full-length feature to PH when I reach 50K subscribers there.”
Finally, add your Model profile link to your Linktree so fans can find their streaming options.
